Minesweeper! App Reviews

This is the 2nd minesweeper game Ive tried from the App Store and the 2nd one to suffer from a major bug: the numbers on the tiles dont reflect the number of adjacent mines. Mostly they do, until you find one that doesnt. It makes it a game of luck not strategy at that point. Please fix!

Everything minesweeper needs to be. No more, no less.

I found many times that the hints given were incorrect.

Its glitched! Ive found a ghost mine show every time in the corner of a 3. very bugged for me.

Thought the usability was great. Loved the game play. Im a big ticbits fan for their Suduko. however, this poor game is not usable because of bugs in the cell count. I have many screenshots showing that there should not be a mine in a given cell, them BOOM!, game over. Very frustrating. Would give a 1, but is a nicer ui then other apps.

So I do love this game, but there is one major flaw. If youre not playing in the easy level you can tap any square at the beginning and youll only open up one square. You cant start know only one bomb is touching a square because you have no way to predict where the bomb is, so your only option is to tap randomly until you hit a clearing opening or a bomb and are forced to start all over. It needs to be set so when you first tap you get something large that you can actually work with.

I have been playing this game for a couple of days now and twice it has told me there were only 4 mines around this certain square and there turned out to be 5 mines around it. Both times were when I had almost beat the game. There is no point in playing this game if the game play is messed up like that!

In looking at some other reviews, It seems that I might not have been imagining things when game blows up when I swear I was okay. Oh well, just a game to pass the time or hide from reality. Fixes would be nice, but very good on balance.

Downloaded this game, played easy level, found a math error propagated on the board. Results will therefore be unpredictable.

This game really never gets old for me. Loved it when it was the only game on our new computer way back in high school, love it now :)

Game is good and fun. Wish that the sensitivity was higher one selecting random squares. I often tap on the screen with no change in the game. This game requests your location for some reason. Not sure why they would need it other than for adds. Game will often redirect you to the App Store. Even if you have not clicked on any ads. Sometimes it redirects you even two or three times in one minute of game play. The apps they redirect you to in the App Store are credit related and other paying games...

I have a photo in my phone of a position that states it is only by two mines when it is actually next to three. (#BOOM!#)

Hey, TicBits: Auto-Diverting me off a game while Im playing to the app store for an app I have zero interest in is just not cool. Im dropping your apps from my phone over it. If I inadvertently hit an ad banner and diverted Id understand but that is not the case.

Occasionally laggy, disrupting play. Annoying animated ads.

I really enjoy the interface and gameplay of this app, but too many times I will play a game and hit a mine that should not be there.

Ive put many, many hours into this app, and its a lot of fun. However, there are a couple of issues. The first is when youre forced into a situation where you have a 50/50 chance of hitting a mine and theres no way of guaranteeing a safe selection. Its very annoying when youre down to the two last tiles, but you dont know which is a mine and end up guessing wrong. The worst, however, are the ads the take you to the App Store when you click anywhere. Theyve gotten disgustingly common, and it interrupts me constantly while Im playing. Even though I like this minesweeper app, I just cant play anymore because of these ads.

This is the standard mine sweeper game, I mean there isnt much to say about it... Itd be a perfect 5 stars though if there werent SOOOO many pop up ads. I refuse to pay 2 dollars for a mine sweeper game though. This game should be standard on ALL devices no one should have to pay to play minesweeper. But the ads are just ridiculous

This game would have received a 5 star rating if it didnt launch the App Store every 30 seconds or so.
